Saratoga secures Pennsylvania licence ahead of Happy Valley Casino opening
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has issued a gaming licence to Saratoga Casino Holdings, ahead of the opening of Happy Valley Casino early next year.
Set to open its doors next April, Happy Valley is developed and managed by Saratoga and SC Gaming, and will utilise Konami’s SYNKROS casino management system.
Saratoga acquired a majority stake in the casino following completion of the $120 million project earlier this year.
“As a third-generation, family-run business with more than 80 years in the horse racing industry and 20 years in casino, hotel, and entertainment operations, we are extremely proud to receive our Pennsylvania gaming license,” said Saratoga CEO Sam Gerrity. “This milestone further expands our diversification within the gaming industry and reflects our long-standing commitment to operating best-in-class gaming facilities.
“Our strategy is centered on building strong relationships with our customers, team members, and the communities we serve.”
Saratoga now holds gaming licenses for non-tribal casinos in four states, including New York, Mississippi, Colorado and Pennsylvania.
