Delasport granted GLI certification for Brazil launch

Delasport has been awarded a GLI certification as it prepares to deploy its sportsbook offering in the Brazilian market.
Under the regulations set out by Brazil’s Secretariat for Prizes and Betting (SPA), operators looking to secure their licence will need to attach additional certification documents with their application in order to prove that they are on par with the required technical standards.

If approved, operators can then initiate the process of paying the fee for a Brazilian licence, which currently stands at 30m BRL (£3.9m).

Delasaport has chosen Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) as its preferred partner to produce the required certification due to GLI’s market dividends in Brazil, becoming the first laboratory to achieve local accreditation by SPA to certify betting systems, live game studios, and online games.

Filippo Ferri, Delasport’s Chief Compliance Officer, commented: “When we learnt that providing platform certificates to the regulator was on our partner operators’ critical path for obtaining the licence, we immediately prioritised submitting the system to GLI for testing.

“Needless to say, GLI did a tremendous job of working with us to conduct the tests in record time, to match the submission deadline of some of our clients.

“I am also very proud of how our internal departments worked together to obtain this certificate, and of how they continue to push forward with the delivery of a data vault system that complies with SIGAP requirements.”

Operators planning on tapping into the Brazilian market can now partner with Delasport and get access to its My Sportsbook, My Event Builder, and My Combo personalisation features to drive customer retention and build up revenues.

Additionally, Delasport boasts an AI-powered, real-time Responsible Gambling system that quickly adapts to any local regulatory shifts.

The company also maintains a high standard of KYC and AML compliance, and has already teamed up with some of the major Brazil-facing payment system providers.
