The demonstration will give the international broadcast community a closer look at how SVT is using software-led production to rethink the way major live events can be produced, managed and delivered.
Launched as part of SVT’s wider transformation of remote production, the live software build has been developed to make workflows more flexible, cost-efficient and accessible, reducing reliance on specialist engineering and traditional hardware-heavy infrastructure.
Vindral has played an important role within this ecosystem, with Vindral Composer supporting real-time compositing, audio processing and graphics, while Vindral Live handles low-latency contribution feeds and delivery within the wider production chain. Vindral Live Multiviewer also supports simultaneous monitoring of multiple channels within the production environment.
The landmark system was put to the test during the Milano Cortina Winter Games, which marked a major proof point, not only because of the scale and visibility of the event, but because it brought the Games back to SVT after 14 years. SVT has also used the approach across several large-scale events, with the method now forming a recurring part of its broadcast plans moving forward.
